On May the 24th 2019, Dr. R.Sebastian Sprick visited Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. He delivered an academic report entitled “Solar Fuel Production from Water Using Organic Photocatalysts.” The lecture was hosted by Prof. Liu.
In his talk, Dr. R.Sebastian Sprick emphasized the importance of Photocatalytic hydrogen production from water. He presented his work on the application of conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs), unbranched conjugated polymers, and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) as photocatalysts for hydrogen production from water. He also discussed the synthetic approaches for improved photocatalytic activity. In addition, Dr. R. Sebastian Sprick provided an outlook about future researches on performance enhancement by combining automation and machine learning. At the end of the presentation, Dr. R. Sebastian Sprick and participants held extensive discussions on the theme of the report.
