WILEY-Yellow Crane Tower Summit on Advanced Nanomaterials

Nanotechnology is a pioneer in leading the world's new round of industrial revolution, and has had a tremendous impact on human life, social and economic development, and scientific and technological progress. From May 9 to 11, 2019, the three-day "WILEY-Yellow Crane Tower Summit on Advanced Nanomaterials" was held in Wuhan, Hubei.

The conference was co-chaired by Prof. Nianjun Yang, School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Wuhan Institute of Technology, University of Siegen and Jinyi Chen, dean of the School of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering.The conference focused on the preparation, fine characterization of new advanced nanomaterials and their applications in chemistry, environment, catalysis, energy and biomedicine. Many well-known experts in the field of nanomaterials have been discussing the nanomaterials technology industry and development. It is of great significance to open up new ideas for research work in nanomaterials and related fields.

Prof. Jian Liu was invited to attend the conference as the Invited Speaker, five members of our group also attended the conference. In the afternoon of  May 10thProf. Jian Liu gave an academic report entitled “Molecular-based Design of Nanoporous Carbon Speres as Nanoreactors”
